Thanks for visiting Little Whisk! I’m Jen, baker of cakes and sweet treats based in Perranporth, Cornwall.
After a few years working in office based roles, I decided I wanted a change. Baking has been a hobby of mine for a long time so in 2015 I decided to turn my hobby into my new career. I moved to Paris to study Patisserie at Le Cordon Bleu. Here I learned all about the history and techniques of delicate patisserie (and an embarrassingly small amount of French!)
After moving back to the UK, I worked in a small independent cafe creating cakes for the counter and for celebrations.
In 2019, I decided to start my own business and Little Whisk was born. I love creating special cakes for people to enjoy. I like testing new flavours and recipes and making cakes that look beautiful and taste delicious.
